Day
1,
approx. 22km
The first stretch goes from Båstad upp the hillside of Hallandsåsen
and its main country roads. You will pass leafy beech woods but also agricultural
regions and pine forest. Soon you will be rolling down the hill all the
way to the south coast of Bjäre peninsula. At Ängelsbäcks
amazing sandy beach is a chance for a dip in the blue before the tour
goes on. On the way to Kvinnaböske tavern were you will be staying
for the night you pass small decoration stores and shops such as Labucci,
Bjärlunda och Färgsmedjan.
Day 2, ca 15km
After spending a night at Kvinnaböske tavern in the home ground of Hasse Andersson you will continue the day towards Torekov. The forest terrain is less hilly och day number 2 offers a beautiful view over the ocean most of the day. Right before you stop in Torekov you will pass by Scanias biggest pile of grave called Dagshög who tell his own myth. When you checked in at Torekov Hotel you certainly will find time for a trip to the city centre of Torekov. Ferry traffic leaves the harbour during the summer to the nature reserve The Weather island (Hallands väderö). In the afternoon/ evening a relaxing time in the Spa department will take place and efter a 3- gourmet dinner course will be served for you in the restaurant at Torekov Hotel.
Dag 3, ca 26 km
You will cycle on smaller main country roads passing swaying potatofields. Perhaps you have already tried the homesdistrict of Bjäre Vodka at some of the restaurants you have been visiting during your stay. Something else that also have been appreciated of the travellers is a visit at Lady Green (Tant Grön) who you will pass by during the trip. She offers something for every taste bud! After a ride out to Hovs Hallar nature reserve with its powerful cliff formations you go down the hill again towards Båstad. Perhaps you take a coffe break at Hovs Hallar inn or at Kattvik harbour were they serve newbaked frying waffles during the summer!
