As early as 1864, Torekov's Life Saving Station was founded. Even today, the Sea Rescue Station in Torekov is the center for sea rescue on Bjäre. Here today you have state-of-the-art fast-moving rescue boats that can assist in all weather both out at sea and close to our coasts.
