The Bjäre Peninsula and Hallandsåsen offer plenty of opportunities for adventure and adrenaline through breathtaking experiences. Learn to kitesurf
The Bjäre Peninsula is a well-known destination for kite surfers. When the winds blow just right and the waves roll in, they appear from all over southern Sweden, regardless of the season. Both Båstad Kite and Kites & Things learn to handle winds, kites and boards in safe and secure conditions. You can also only rent equipment if you already possess the necessary skills.
Cycle on trails with a guide
Around Båstad there are more and more marked cycle paths in the forest. But if you want to cycle for hours on undiscovered trails on Hallandsåsen on a mountain bike, then you probably need to hire a guide. Ridge Cycling have experience and knowledge. In addition, bicycles are available for rent, whether you cycle on your own or not.
High speed at sea
If you like high speeds, GoCats might be your thing. The activity can be described as go-carts, but on the water. Small rubber boat-catamarans of 50hp run in a fixed course. The event company Spirit Event is behind this adrenaline rush that starts from the harbor in Båstad.
Take the lift up and cycle down
The choice lock Downhill is about half an hour east of Båstad. Here there are a bunch of trails down Hallandsåsen, adapted to all levels of downhill cyclists. Children are also welcome. If you don't have equipment, you can rent it.
Quick kicks
Kungsbygget Adventure Park offers zipline, high-altitude track, summer tobogganing and much more. In the middle of the forest and with maximum use of Hallandsåsen's altitude meter, you will find the facility. It's all a family-friendly destination and a perfect, titillating and local alternative to the big city theme parks.
Snorkeling in clear water
On Halland's Väderö, where you go by boat from Torekov or (high season only) Båstad, the water is clear and fine. Here it is wonderful to snorkel and watch the life under the water's surface. Perfect and simple activity that only requires snorkel gear and swimming skills.
